Vegan Chocolate Orange Marble Loaf

This Vegan Chocolate Orange Marble Loaf tastes great because it has both rich chocolate and bright citrus flavors, and the marble pattern looks beautiful. Its great for any event, whether you eat it as a snack or a dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C

Grease and flour a loaf pan

In a large mixing bowl, combine almond milk, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract

Divide the mixture in half into two separate bowls

To one bowl, add cocoa powder and mix until fully combined to make the chocolate batter

To the other bowl, add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and orange zest

Mix until just combined to make the orange batter

Alternate spooning dollops of chocolate and orange batters into the prepared loaf pan

Using a knife or skewer, gently swirl the batters together to create a marble effect

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely

Slice and serve
